Welcome

MINI Challenge 2011 season...

Lee Allen had another good season in 2011. Stepping up to the JCW class in the Mini Challenge was a big ask to repeat his championship successes of 2010. Lee being Lee, he had the determination to get to the front of the field as quickly as possible. In his first weekend he had a 2nd place podium and at the second round he won in the wet/dry conditions of Oulton Park. By the fourth round Lee had taken 2 more wins along with the lead in the Championship. Over the remaining races of 2011 Lee had a few more podiums and a win.

Unfortunately Lee was only able to claim 2nd overall in the championship in 2011. However this has not blunted his determination for an ultra successful campaign in 2012.

Lee has already tested the rebuilt Sussex Road and Race Mini, along with the new Pirelli rubber that the championship will be running on this year. Kevin Fulbrook of Sussex Road and Race says "Lee and I have a much better understanding of the characteristics of the turbo charged R56 now so we will hit the ground running come Silverstone"

I am once again sponsored by Truck Align Co in London, Bardahl Oils are going to be partnering us again

Chris Panayiotou (AKA Zorba) will be teaming up with me in 2012. Chris previously raced with Coastal Racing but this year he has decided to give it a go with a more local team. On his first outing this year Chris drove both of Truck Align's Minis and decided to use the car previously driven by my dad, George. Chris has already spent time on the new Pirelli tyres and really likes the way the car feels. "Lee said that every time I go out I'm getting closer to him but I have a lot of catching up to do - he is so late on the brakes. If you didn't know him you would say he was mad".

June 15th & 16th sees the Minis return to Brands Hatch Indy circuit to celebrate the Mini Festival. This is one of my favourite and most local tracks. I have had numerous wins here in all types of cars. Keep your eye out for the blue and yellow Mini blur as it goes by...
